Job Description:



This position is responsible for the growth of the Commercial/Industrial (C&I) business. Key areas of focus are increasing sales and gaining new customers. This position is also responsible for the management of all assigned C&I sales employees in the Ohio/Michigan region. The Sales Manager must be able to consult with C&I Sales Reps and/or customers to determine the best product and/or service solution. Representing the company in a professional, helpful, and dependable manner so that the customers experience is exceptional and provide positive leadership to their team.

Responsibilities:



  • Collaborates with Managers to:
    • control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses

    • establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company

    • accurately forecast the annual sales revenue budget

  • Continual travel required to Ohio/Michigan locations up to 75% of the time.

  • Manages the sales activities to maximize sales revenue and meet regional objectives.

  • Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel.

  • Responsible for hiring, retention and training of assigned sales team.

  • Oversee lead activities and goals for all assigned sales team personnel.

  • Assist sales reps with proposals, site surveys and proper pricing within company parameters.

  • Responsible for the management and development of sales personnel, and sales support staff.

  • Reviews progress of sales personnel throughout the assigned dealerships.

  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all companys product lines.

  • Provides monthly and quarterly assessment results of sales staffs productivity.

  • Attaining yearly budget goals for assigned sales team and dealerships.

  • Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.

  • Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with decision-makers.

  • Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support.

  • Daily management of the sales team and their activities, scheduling regular weekly ride-alongs.


Qualifications:



  • A minimum of five years of related experience or training in business-to-business/outside sales, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

  • A minimum of three years of sales personnel management / supervisory experience in water treatment or a related field.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, subordinates, all levels of business professionals, and the general public.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and trend information.

  • Proven ability to motivate and lead sales teams.

  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with staff and clients.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.

  • Must be able to travel to other dealerships

  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality customer service and growth

  • Well organized, reliable, and determined with good communication and time management skills.

  • Able to recognize, prioritize and accomplish daily, weekly and monthly goals.

  • Effective communication with team members as well as the company management staff

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must have a valid Drivers License and successfully pass, and maintain, an acceptable driving record check to be insurable by the Company in order to operate a company vehicle
