Role Description

Overview

We are seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager - Marine for our Great Lakes Region. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new retail sales and cultivating/expanding sales with existing marine retail accounts.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and execute sales plans and promotions and develop and execute strategies to increase market share and profits
  • Establish and maintain dealer relationships, manage block of business, and develop territory
  • Prepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts for all marine/recreational products
  • Monitor market for need to modify pricing to meet sales objectives and profit goals
  • Create and deliver sales presentations to prospects/existing accounts and educate dealers on products
  • Able to travel, coordinate, and represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings, trade shows and conferences and complete timely and succinct trip and status reports
  • Manage large accounts with excellent project management skills and maintain excellent product and pricing knowledge
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 3 years experience in sales and marketing OR a minimum of 7 years marine industry sales experience
  • Must possess work experience selling consumer products in the marine marketplace
  • Proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets/goals
  • Flexibility to travel (50% of time or greater)
  • Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills including ease of public speaking
  • Ability to generate and support pragmatic solutions that meet Garmin's sales goals while maintaining high customer service standards
Desired Qualifications
  • Business to business sales experience
  • Personal experience in fishing and boating
  • Excellent product knowledge of communication and navigation systems
