Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is a pioneer in automation control, instrumentation and services for the oil and gas; refining; energy; pulp and paper; industrial power generation; chemicals and petrochemicals; biofuels; life sciences; and metals, minerals, and mining industries. The Sales Excellence team in HPS has a mission to drive sales functional excellence by providing the sales organization with processes, training, tools and information to achieve top performance in their respective roles and differentiate ourselves in the process industry market.
In line with the above, the Director of Sales Excellence manages the sales excellence organization for the Project & Automation Solutions, and Lifecycle Solution & Services of the Honeywell Process Solutions Business Unit to drive profitable revenue growth through enablement of sales teams with skills and knowledge, data, insights, tools, behaviors, processes and incentives which lead to higher sales productivity. The position also leads coordinating efforts between stakeholders and other functional groups to ensure alignment and profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Excellence Director directly supports the Sales organization and act as liaison between sales and other functional groups such as offering management, customer marketing, finance, HR, IT and service with focus on:
¢Lead and continue to build a strong Sales Excellence team for HPS Systems businesses, PAS and LSS, attracting, developing and retaining strong talent and developing strong succession planning. Coach, mentor, and ensure training and development plans are in place for people under his/her responsibility. Plan for succession, manage team performance.
¢Lead and continuously improve the HPS System Management Operating System (MOS), including short-term and long-term focus on key metrics, including but not limited to pipeline growth and quality, in-person and customer meetings, attracting and retaining top Sales talent.
¢Promote simplification and automation of the sales operational tools, sales processes, and metrics across HPS System, facilitating adoption and understanding by sellers and sales leaders.
¢Drive insights via data and analytics that inform leadership at multiple levels on how to drive sales performance, gain new accounts and expand existing customer pocket share.
¢Plan strategies, programs, budget (AOP), workshops and other activities to enable sales organization to achieve top performance and win more.
¢Improve sales processes, tools, competencies, behaviors and incentives with standards that align across the larger business group(s)
¢Drive pipeline and lead-to-revenue management resulting in faster sales velocity and higher win rates.
¢Analyze, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate Pipeline, Forecasts and Sales Behavior Index metrics.
¢Provide reliable data, scorecards and insights for Sales Management, Senior Management and other requesting departments.
¢Promote simplification and automation of the sales operational tools and metrics across HPS, facilitating option and understanding by seller and sales leaders.
¢Partner with PMT and HPS enablement leaders and partner to drive the hire to retire sales development planning, including sales onboarding process, sales skills and technical training, and career development. Promote specific training certifications, such as solution and enterprise selling, based on business requirements.
¢Build competencies for account planning, demand generation, pipeline management, and winning ratio
¢Work with Sales Leadership to maximize effectiveness of the Sales Incentive Program by defining quota metrics and implementation criteria. Coordinate quota deployment with HPS Sales Operations Manager
YOU MUST HAVE
¢\tBachelors degree
¢\t10+ years of experience in customer facing roles (e.g. sales, business development, marketing), including leadership experience in sales management and / or business development
¢\t3+ years in Sales Excellence or Sales Operation
¢\t5+ years of experience in Matrix organizations covering multiple business lines
¢\t5+ year Functional and cross-functional team leadership experience
